I can't find my certificate
Here are the most common ways to find a downloaded PDF (or any file) on a mobile device. Pick your device type for step-by-step instructions:
If you’re using Android (Samsung, Pixel, etc.)
1. Check the Files or My Files app
- Open Files, File Manager, or My Files (varies by device)
- Tap Downloads or Download
2. Check your browser’s download list
- Chrome: Chrome → (…) Menu → Downloads
- Samsung Internet: Menu → Downloads
- Firefox: Menu → Downloads
3. Search your phone
- Open device Search (swipe up/down depending on device)
- Type the file name or “pdf”
- Results often show exact folder location
4. If the file never saved (only opened)
Some apps preview the PDF instead of saving it
- Look for a Download or Save icon in the viewer
- Or tap the three dots (…) → Download or Save to device
If you’re using an iPhone / iPad (iOS)
1. Check the Files app
- Open Files (white icon with a blue folder)
- Tap Browse (bottom-right)
- Tap On My iPhone or iCloud Drive
- Look in the Downloads folder
- 2. Check your browser’s download location
- Safari: Files → Downloads folder
- Chrome: Chrome app → (…) Menu → Downloads
2. Use Search
- Swipe down on the Home Screen
- Type part of the filename or simply “pdf” or “downloads”
- Look for results under the Files category
3. If the file opened instead of downloading
Sometimes PDFs open in Safari instead of saving.
Tap the Share icon → Save to Files → pick a folder.
