I can't find my certificate

Here are the most common ways to find a downloaded PDF (or any file) on a mobile device. Pick your device type for step-by-step instructions:

If you’re using Android (Samsung, Pixel, etc.)

1. Check the Files or My Files app
  • Open FilesFile Manager, or My Files (varies by device)
  • Tap Downloads or Download

2. Check your browser’s download list
  • Chrome: Chrome → (…) Menu → Downloads
  • Samsung Internet: Menu → Downloads
  • Firefox: Menu → Downloads

3. Search your phone
  • Open device Search (swipe up/down depending on device)
  • Type the file name or “pdf”
  • Results often show exact folder location

4. If the file never saved (only opened)

Some apps preview the PDF instead of saving it

  • Look for a Download or Save icon in the viewer
  • Or tap the three dots (…) → Download or Save to device

If you’re using an iPhone / iPad (iOS)

1. Check the Files app
  • Open Files (white icon with a blue folder)
  • Tap Browse (bottom-right)
  • Tap On My iPhone or iCloud Drive
  • Look in the Downloads folder
  • 2. Check your browser’s download location
  • Safari: Files → Downloads folder
  • Chrome: Chrome app → (…) Menu → Downloads

  • Swipe down on the Home Screen
  • Type part of the filename or simply “pdf” or “downloads”
  • Look for results under the Files category

3. If the file opened instead of downloading

Sometimes PDFs open in Safari instead of saving.

Tap the Share icon → Save to Files → pick a folder.
